Package Protection

mypostages offers the optional Worry-Free Purchase service as a buying option on the cart page for postage stamp orders. Protection only applies when the service is purchased for the order.

What the protection may cover

The situations below can be covered by Worry-Free Purchase.

Coverage 01

Lost or Stolen

A package you have not received even though tracking shows “Delivered,” a stolen package, or a package you have not received for more than 30 days.

Coverage 02

Transit Damage

Postage stamps that are unusable because they are torn, severely bent, crushed, water-damaged, or otherwise damaged during transit.

If the outer foil shipping mailer appears damaged upon delivery, take clear photos before opening it.
Coverage 03

Delivery Delay

For U.S. orders, packages not delivered after 10 days following order fulfillment are considered delayed.

More than 30 days A package not received for more than 30 days is included under loss.
After 10 days For U.S. orders, non-delivery after 10 days following order fulfillment is considered delayed.
Within 48 hours According to Seel's protection materials, Seel generally processes applications within 48 hours.

Help Seel review your claim

Seel evaluates the nature, cause, and impact of transit damage using the supporting documents below.

  • Damage: clear photos of the outer foil shipping mailer and any protective material used around the postage stamps.
  • Damage: clear photos showing how the postage stamps are damaged.
  • Carrier-marked loss: if the shipment is marked by the carrier “lost,” or “delivery” scan 30 days after shipment, no additional proof is required.
  • Delivered but not received: first look around your neighborhood or mail hub. If the package still cannot be found, Seel may require a police report, security footage, carrier letter, or written documentation from an authority or leasing office.
  • Delay: no supporting documents are required for a delay claim. Seel reviews the claim using the tracking information associated with the package's tracking number.

How to file a claim

  1. Open Seel's Resolution CenterUse the “Report an Issue” link in your Seel policy email or visit resolve.seel.com.
  2. Receive a verification emailSeel will send a verification email to the address associated with the order.
  3. Enter the verification codeLog in by entering the verification code provided by Seel.
  4. Report the issueSelect the protected order, describe the loss, damage, or delay, and submit the required supporting materials.

Seel payout options

Seel supports payout in one of the following four options.

PayPal

Supports multi-currency transfers. Funds arrive instantly once the claim is approved.

Venmo

Supports USD transfers. Funds arrive instantly once the claim is approved.

Direct deposit

Supports USD transfers to a U.S. bank account by ACH and typically takes 1–3 business days after Seel approves and sends the payment. This option is available only for transactions in USD.

Tremendous

Customers receive their payout in the form of a virtual Visa card.

What happens after you apply?

According to Seel's protection materials, Seel generally processes applications within 48 hours. If there is no response within that time, you may contact mypostages for assistance with order or tracking information at ruby@mypostages.com. The claim remains with Seel.

Damage evaluation

The payout amount for damage is determined by the evaluation results, up to 100% of the purchased value, depending on how the damage affects the usability of the postage stamps.

Damage to packaging without affecting the stamps inside, and clear pre-shipment defects, are not covered. The supporting documents you provide will directly affect Seel's evaluation. Provide detailed evidence to facilitate the resolution process.
